Svetlana’s Skin Tips Pt. 3 – Pre & Post Exercising Skin Care Routine
“Exercising is very important to your overall health, but you want to make sure your workout doesn’t reek havoc on your face.”
If you work out at the gym you might be too self conscious to not wear makeup, or if you exercise after work you might be too tired to wash your face before hand. But to protect your skin from breakouts wash your face prior to working out. Your pores open up when sweating and you don’t want your skin to absorb more makeup, oil, or dirt than it would with clean skin.
As soon as you stop sweating your pores close, trapping any residual oil or dirt not removed from washing prior to exercising. Because of the pimple potential of sweating, it’s very important to wash your face after working out as well. Opening your pores again with warm water, using a mild cleanser, and closing your pores once clean with a toner or cold water.
